1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom, ground ginger, ground cloves, and salt. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks and ¾ cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and brewed chai tea, and mix until well combined.

4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg yolk mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.

5. In a separate clean bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining ¼ cup of granulated sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.

6. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the cake batter until no streaks remain. Be careful not to overmix, as this may result in a denser cake.

7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8. While the cake is baking, prepare the tres leches mixture. In a large bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and 1 cup of heavy cream. Whisk until well combined.

9. Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Using a skewer or fork, poke holes all over the surface of the cake.

10. Slowly pour the tres leches mixture over the warm cake, allowing it to absorb the liquid. Make sure to cover the entire surface of the cake. Refrigerate the cake for at least 3 hours, or overnight, to allow it to fully soak up the liquid.

11. Before serving, whip the remaining 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the top of the chilled cake.

12. Optionally, sprinkle ground cinnamon on top for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.
